Hello, fellow SETX savings specialists! Welcome to the newest savings blog to hit Southeast Texas. SETX Mom's Guide To Savings!! I'm Crystal and I hope to be able to assist you in your savings journey. 

First, I want to explain why I choose to start this blog. In the area of Southeast Texas there isn't a good blog with local deals!! I was having to search out deals from blogs in Iowa, California, etc. What's up with that?!? I need local deals to save the most money; after all prices are different all over the country! So here I am deciding to start this blog. HAHA! If you know me you know I already have too much on my plate; so why not add another one? 

 So I ask all of you busy savers out there to bear with me on building this blog and I swear we will save money throughout our journey and become friends in the process!! =)

      RR means Register Reward. It is a catalina coupon that prints after you buy the specified product or products for a monetary amount that you can use later at the store. Walgreens calls them register rewards. CVS calls them extra care bucks. Thanks for asking!! Always happy to help!

    Want to share some coupons for Dollar General ... They are offering $5 off $25 spent this Saturday 1/19/2013 Plus other coupons

    SS means the Smartsource insert from the paper. I list the date so that it shows exactly which insert it came out of. RP means Red plum insert! Happy to help!!

    Is there a difference in coupons that come in the different papers, does one have more than the others or are they all the same?

      Actually there is a difference in the coupons between the Beaumont Enterprise, Houston Chronicle, and Port Arthur News. Port Arthur usually does not get all inserts available, Houston tends to get different coupons and more inserts at times. Beaumont and Houston are both great papers to get, especially if you want more than one coupon of the same kind!! I personally get Houston as I think they get more varying coupons. I also have a friends that get both and some of the Hispanic Papers from Houston as well. Coupons are coupons in whatever language they are printed in...lol. Hope that helps!! :)
